Reducing friction in UGC campaigns by making scripts easier to create and review

Timeline February 2026 - July 2026
The Challenge

In our UGC marketplace, creators submitted scripts for brand approval before producing their content. But every creator could submit a different format, making scripts harder for brands to review and leaving creators to figure out how to structure them on their own.

What We Knew

Brand complaints had repeatedly reached Customer Success, and an audit showed that roughly two-thirds of submitted scripts didn't follow a common structure. Some also lacked visual descriptions, making the intended content harder for brands to understand.

One structure, two problems

A fixed template could standardize submissions, but creators would still need to know how to build the script themselves.

So instead of standardizing only the file, I moved the structure into the creation experience itself.

The Solution

I designed a guided script workflow that progressively structured dialogue and visual descriptions while preserving flexibility in how creators built their scripts.

The result was one shared structure serving both sides: easier to create for creators, easier to review for brands.

Impact

The script went from an external, unstructured attachment to a structured part of the campaign workflow, reducing ambiguity during creation while giving brands a consistent format for review.
